Father's Day

I'm blessed to have a wonderful father and a husband who is a wonderful daddy. We had fun celebrating on Saturday with Grandpa, and then Emerson and Jeff had a daddy/daughter night at the Cardinal game with some friends. On Sunday, we went to Jeff and Emmy's favorite restaurant after church, did a little shopping, and some swimming - a fun day!

Summertime

We're ready for summer! We started with a trip to Louisiana for Memorial Day. The kids were able to have some fun in the pool which theyboth enjoyed.

Tonight, we were able to play at our local park. Bryce LOVES to climb anything that he can. We definitely can already see the differences between our calm little girl and rambunctious boy!

Dance Class and a New Cousin

Emerson started dance class in March. So far, she's really enjoying it. She must have inherited her love of dancing from her daddy! Uncle Dan brought her back a dress from Spain, so she and Kenzie can practice their flamenco dancing too!
Emmy and Bryce had an exciting February with the addition of a new cousin, Sam. Ben and Emmy are great friends, so it will be fun when Bryce and Sam can play too.
Bryce is into everything now. He crawls all over and is constant explorer mode. He has a fascination with doors, so he must either open or close one when he finds it. He is "cruising" along furniture but hasn't taken a solid first step yet. It won't be long and then we'll have to go back and do all of that babyproofing that we never did for Em.

State Champs!

We had such an exciting weekend cheering for the boys at the state tournament in Jefferson City! And they won!!! For the championship, they beat a school over five times the size of King of Glory. The boys played hard the whole weekend, but they also showed great sportsmanship and respect for the other teams. In the championship game, they seemed to have the support of every team except the one they were playing. Even the hotel staff checked in with Jeff to see how they did!

Snow Days, Super Bowl & Swimming

We had a great December and January - Christmas and then Emmy's birthday kept us busy! Since then, we've had more snow than I can ever remember. The kids loved it, especially since we were all snowed in for Daddy's birthday! They managed to find every one of their toys that day though!

After a great dinner for grandpa's birthday, we all went back to grandma & grandpa's to watch the Super Bowl. Bryce didn't care what was happening with the game but enjoyed playing with his sister and cousins.

Emerson continues to progress in swim lessons and she still loves it. I may be giving her too much praise though as she got out of the pool the other week and said, "I'm really proud of me."

The kids love going to watch "the boys" play basketball. We had them all over for lunch after church last week and Emerson can't stop talking about her new best friends. Next week is the state tournament...go Knights!

Bryce 6-7-8 months

Over the past few months, Bryce has definitely been growing and changing. As you can see in the pictures, he is also getting into more stuff! He is generally calm and laid back. But, step away from him and the next thing you know, the curtains are down!

Thanksgiving

Bryce celebrated his half birthday on November 22 with fresh baked cookies from his big sister. She was also nice enough to blow the candle out and eat the cookie for him! He is doing great, definitely a big boy for his age, and he's getting his two bottom teeth. But, even while teething, he's still a happy little guy!

We had a great Thanksgiving at Aunt Ardy's this year! The kids all had a lot of fun playing together. Emerson even found a princess dress to wear for the day! Em had a blast dancing in the snow, and Bryce got to see his first snowfall. Bryce also tried sweet potatoes which he definitely enjoyed more than his baby food.

We've also been able to enjoy two Thanksgiving parades and lots of basketball games. Jeff's team is still undefeated and starting to have thoughts about making the state tournament!
